Table of Contents Slide 1: Title Page Slide 2: Table of Contents Slide 3: Teenage Risks Slide 4: Older Risks Slide 5: Death Slide 6: Miscarriages Slide 7: Chromosomes Slide 8: Difficult Labor Slide 9: Opinion Slide 10: Works Cited Slide 2 Teenage Risks Teenage Pregnancy may result in a lack of prenatal care causing harm to the mother and baby. This may be result in not carrying baby to full term. Not prepared for responsibility such as the financial burden. May not graduate. Only 3% do before age 30. Many mental risks, such as depression and anxiety. Miscarriages Body not being strong enough or mature enough to carry baby full term. May result in death of baby and or mother. Sexually Transmitted Infections Older Age Risks Miscarriages Birth Defects High Blood Pressure Gestational Diabetes Painful Pregnancy Higher Risk of Post Postpartum Depression May lead to depression and anxiety Death Child Birth is the number one killer of teenagers. One million girls suffer injury or death from pregnancy. Pregnancies under the age 15 are five times more likely to die during pregnancy. 50,000 thousand teens die a year from pregnancy. 1 million babies born by a teenage mother do not even make it to 1 year old. Girls under 18 are more likely to give birth to premature babies and have complications during labor. Key Players Miscarriages Definition-the expulsion of a fetus from the womb before it is able to survive independently, especially spontaneously or as the result of accident. Facts: Of the roughly 450,000 pregnancies among teens in 2013, about 61% are estimated to have ended in live births, 24% in abortions and 15% in miscarriages or stillbirths. Teenagers are at an even greater risk of miscarriage and complications from pregnancy than the average adult woman. Miscarriages lead to guilt and depression. The mother tends to feel as if they did something wrong when in most cases that was not the reason why. Women older than age 35 have a higher risk of miscarriage than do younger women. At age 35, you have about a 20 percent risk. At age 40, the risk is about 40 percent. And at age 45, it's about 80 percent. Women who are older and are pregnant have more of a chance to have a baby with more chromosomes The chance of having a child with Down syndrome increases over time. The risk is about 1 in 1,250 for a woman who conceives at age 25. It increases to about 1 in 100 for a woman who conceives at age 40. The risks may be higher. This is because many statistics only report live births. They do not note pregnancies with chromosome problems that ended due to pregnancy loss. After having 1 child with Down syndrome, the chance of having another baby with Down syndrome is higher. Chromosomes May have a very a painful pregnancy as a teen is more common because your pelvic bones are not fully developed. Cephalopelvic disproportion* (the baby’s head is wider than the pelvic opening) Will be painful for an older woman as well because body is aged and is harder to exert a lot of energy. Difficult Labor Opinion My opinion is that teenagers should wait until their twenties to have a baby to avoid all of the risks and possible outcomes. For older women I believe they could look at a surrogate as another option because of how high death rates in the mother and baby are. https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/encyclopedia/content.aspx?contenttypeid=90&contentid=P02481 https://www.verywellfamily.com/teen-pregnancy-loss-2371312 https://www.nhs.uk/news/pregnancy-and-child/teenage-pregnancy-death-concern/ https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/family-resources-education/700childrens/2016/10/risks-of-teen-pregnancy https://breastpumps.byramhealthcare.com/blog/index.php/2019/06/26/truth-behind-geriatric-pregnancies/ https://www.miscarriageassociation.org.uk/your-feelings/young-people/https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pregnancy-loss-miscarriage/symptoms-causes/syc-20354298?page=0&citems=10 https://americanpregnancy.org/unplanned-pregnancy/teen-pregnancy-issues-challenges/ Works Cited

Popular game templates include: Family Feud Millionaire Jeopardy and other quiz shows. http://www.free-power-point-templates.com/deal-powerpoint-template/ Quick video on template "Millionaire" PowerPoint Games Some games are easier to make compared to others If users are unsure whether or not downloading certain templates is safe, you can actually make your own game by just simply using PowerPoint. add logo here References Example of a Family Feud Template PowerPoint Games are a great way to introduce new concepts and ideas You can create a fun, competitive atmosphere with the use of different templates You can change and rearrange information to correlate with the topic or idea being discussed. Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.
