Transcript: Red, Black, White and Yellow These colors recall several aspects of life- the four directions, the four human races, the four seasons, the four natural elements, and the four ages of a human life. Are the colors that represent Pan-Arab. The color combination as a whole is historically linked to the Arab people and Islamic religion. The flag is specifically bicolored to signify that the two nations, the Sac and Fox tribes, have come together as one people Native American Tribe Flags! Red, White, Black and Green Green= Fertility of Arab nations Black= Defeat of enemies Red= Blood of the defeated enemies White= Honor and purity In general, the flags of Native American tribes tend to depend on shapes just as much as color to convey the messages and symbols within their flags. For example... World Flags Universal symbols Micmac Nation- Maine France! Red, White and Blue Cameroon! Sac and Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa Kuwait! Flags are distinctively designed pieces of cloth (commonly rectangular) that are used as symbols for many entities but especially nations. National/ Tribal flags have their own symbols within them that represent the history and future of that nation/tribe. Color has a huge part in conveying a flag's meaning and thus how a community wants to be represented. Red, Green and Gold(Or Black) Green= Fertility White= a Religious/ important figure Red= War or blood Yellow= the Sun Overall, the colors point to the cycle of creation; red then yellow then black Are very often the colors on flags of countries that had decided to revolt and fight for their independence. Thus, the colors are associated with freedom. Many of these independent-seeking countries choose the colors of their flag to be red, white and blue because of France's Tricolor flag ( a flag adopted during France's own famed revolution). I wanted to see what color meanings were when you looked at the flags of smaller communities and if those meanings were different from or more personal than the color meanings in the flags of the world nations... Are the colors that represent Pan-Africa! The meanings vary slightly between each country but often Red= Blood of the people Green= The rich land Gold=Switches between being a symbol of the sun, the desert, or of min- eral wealth in the country's soil Black=The people of Africa I made my own flag... Suquamish Indian Tribe- Washington The Suquamish tribe purposefully used the four primary colors to unite them with other Native Americans, however they used imagery unique to them to show their history (the portrait is Chief Seattle. He signed the treaty, mentioned in the flag's emblem, which established the tribe's reservation). Blue= Saint Martin Red= Saint Denis White= Royalty, Virgin Mary For starters, there are colors that symbolize whole groupings of countries... Religious symbols are also present in many of the flags of the world and tribes Awww man I'm soooooo cool Green= Life, spring time, the "Peace Chief" (1 of the 3 members of the tribal authority) Red= Death, war, autumn (When much life fades), the "War Chief" Flags are Important Red= independence Green= the forest Yellow= the sun and savanna Red= Life and fire Green= Growing season Yellow= Sun's heat Black= Late season or winter Blue= Sky and water White= Supernatural !!!FLAG DAY!!! There is no evidence that Betsy Ross created the first American flag Fun Facts Works Cited Personally I love the American Flag. It symbolizes what kind of country we are and all the struggles we went through to become a country. I think it's sad that people can disrespect the flag without being punished, but if we had laws against it we wouldn't be America. We're about freedom and freedom to express your feelings through actions and words. That is why so many people come to America and why I am proud to be an American. Red symbolizes hardiness and power. What I Think About Our Flag And The Laws Concerning It White symbolizes purity and innocence Never display the union down unless there is an emergency then it signals distress. If the flag is displayed over the middle of the street, it should be suspended vertically with the union to the north in an east and west street or to the east in a north and south street. Blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice. COLORS The stars represent the 50 states. There have been 27 different types of flags. When using a flag to cover a casket the union must be at the head and over the left shoulder.
