Transcript: Living Healthy facts! Physical activity improves health and well-being. It reduces stress, strengthens the heart and lungs, increases energy levels, helps you maintain and achieve a healthy body weight and it improves your outlook on life. Healthy eating is all about choosing the foods that help your body function best. A balanced diet gives you more energy, and helps you think more clearly. So take a look at the following and learn a little about nutrition Your body needs at least 40 nutrients to work well, and you get these nutrients through food and vitamins. Food is divided into three categories: carbohydrates, protein, and fat. Each of these provides vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Too much of anything can throw your body's balance off track. Too much protein is hard on your kidneys and can hurt them. Too many carbs (candy bars, pasta, bread) on the other hand, might make your pancreas work overtime, which can increase your chance of getting diabetes and heart disease. Physical Activities Physical activity is something that everyone can do. You don't need to run a marathon or spend hours at a gym. Look for simple ways to be physically active every day. You could: Take a walk once a day; Take the stairs instead of the elevator; Spend less time in front of the television or computer; Have fun with friends Walk, or ride your bike to places close by Find out about walking and bicycle paths nearby and use them. Beyond staying healthy with regular exercise, there are many other reasons why you should make staying fit a part of your daily routine. One of these reasons is because you can let go of the stress you have at work and at school. Physical activity helps: healthy growth and development prevent chronic diseases like cancer, and heart disease make us stronger give us energy decrease stress, and stay independence as we get older. Exercise can help prevent extra weight gain or help maintain weight loss. When you do physical activity, you burn calories. The more intense the activity, the more calories you burn. You don't need to set aside large chunks of time for exercise get weight-loss benefits. If you can't do an actual workout, get more active throughout the day in simple ways Eating Disorders People with anorexia have a large fear of gaining weight and a unrealistic view of their body size and shape. As a result, they strive to keep a very low body weight. Some cut down on what they eat by dieting, fasting, or a lot of exercise. People with anorexia try to eat as little as possible, and take in as few calories as they can, always obsessing over how much food they eat. Bulimia happens by a lot of binge eating and not exercising. Someone with bulimia may go through weight changes, but barely experiences the low weight thatgoes with anorexia. Both disorders can involve compulsive exercise or other forms of eating too much food and then self-induced vomiting or taking pills. Healthy Eating there are many diets out there that they advertise on tv that say that you can loose weight in a certain amount of time. these diets are called fad diets. They say to use methods such as mixing different foods and spices together to make a colon cleanse. also the "cookie diet" where you can eat 3 cookies 3 times a day till dinner where you then eat a full meal. these diets do help you loose weight fast but once you go back to your old ways the weight comes back too. most of the weight that is lost from these fad diets at first is from water you retain in your body. if you just use fad diets your weight will just fluxuate. to loose weight you need to eat healthy and exercise. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Transcript: Here are some ways that you can relieve the pressures and stress in your life. - Yoga - Anywhere, Anytime. Yoga is a very in-expensixe, easy way to naturally reduce the stress in your life. It focuses on your breathing pattern, which is very relaxing and meditating. This breathing, combined with very effective stretches that vary in level of flexability are extremely effective. You take a break from all your troubles and become deeply emmersed in this meditative state that does wonders to your body and mind. The great thing about yoga, is that you can do it anywhere, and anytime. You can take 30 seconds to close your eyes and breath in and out, or you can even throw in a yoga DVD and do it along with the experts. Personally, I find this very effective in my life, and I recommend yoga to absolutly everyone. "Reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body." - Joseph Addison Reading a good piece of writing is not only good for your brain, but is good for your soul. Many people who are struggling with stress turn to the books for help. When you are stessed, sometimes all you want to do is take a break and forget about eveything that is going on. Have you ever heard of the expression,"Getting lost in your book."? It is very true. When you are reading such a good piece of writing, sometimes you get so into the book that you totally forget what is going on around you, and you feel that you are in the book, actually watching what is going on. This tecnique not only gives you a break from your life, but actually gives you a moment to clear your head and re-focus on what you have to do. Sometimes we overthink things and get a little carried away, and reading is a great way to clear your head and start fresh. Eating Healthy is the Key to Happiness. Have you ever eaten a chocolate bar because you were just so hungry, then an hour later feel crashed? Yes, junk food will do that to you. They temporarly fill you up with unheathy materials, which later on gives you a,"gross feeling", side effect. This can cause you to have mood swings, and will make you feel terrible. It is so true when you hear that eating a balenced diet can change your life. Giving your body the nutrients it needs to function will not only make your body feel better, but will make you as a whole feel better. You will feel more awake, more energized, and you will even have a clearer head. This will help prevent stress to begin with by starting off your day with a clear head and a better ability to focus on what really matters in life. There are so much more ways to relieve stress. Jogging, playing sports, talking to a friend, taking a hot shower, and watching a favourite TV show are just some more examples of these ways.
